The Rising Sun was built in 1692 and was used to make fishing nets but this changed in 1784 when Richard Sutton opened it as an Ale House and it has been selling pints ever since.
We are the new custodians of this lovely village pub and we would like to extend a very warm welcome to you.
We pride ourselves on the quality of our food. All of our dishes are prepared and cooked to order by our chef, Michael, using locally sourced produce. We offer a menu of traditional pub favourites along with an ever changing specials board to make your mouth water.
At the bar we serve Timothy Taylor Landlord all year round with guest ales to complement along with Kronenbourg 1664, Fosters, IPA Maltsmith, Guinness, Birra Moretti, Strongbow Cloudy Apple and Strongbow Dark Fruits as well as bottled lagers, ciders and soft drinks.
We have a good selection of wines to choose from.
